Setting up for the noon talk

Setting up for the noon talk

Today the team met with staff at the Schoenberg Institute for Manuscript Studies, Kislak Center for Special Collections, Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center at the University of Pennsylvania. The first part of the day the Books and Beasts team updated staff about the results from the samples they had sent over the past year. There were some interesting results and a few surprises.
After a tour of the building including the Henry Charles Lea Library we presented our talk and sampling techniques to our learned audience.

Following a lively lunch with Dot Porter, Curator, Digital Research Services, Peter Stallybrass, Director of History of the Book and Amey Hutchins, Manuscripts Cataloguer we had lots of food for thought about next steps and potential areas for collaboration.
